For over 20 years, she has specialised in executive search for tax specialists across the Big 4, Top 10, Leading Mid-Tier and Boutique tax advisory firms, building long-standing relationships with many of the profession’s most respected leaders.
Known for her honest advice, market insight and calm approach, Gemma works closely with firms on strategic Partner hiring, succession planning and leadership growth. Gemma supports senior professionals as they navigate complex career decisions, offering honest guidance and a steady sounding board when the next step is not obvious, but the stakes feel significant.

Outside of work, she’s a big believer in positive energy, meaningful connections, adventuring and road trips with her children and dogs. She is currently rebuilding her new home and nurturing her ever-expanding plant collection.

Charli is the organisational force behind Gemma May Ltd, supporting the smooth running of searches, client coordination and day-to-day operations.
She plays a key role in keeping projects moving seamlessly, communication consistent and both clients and candidates feeling looked after throughout the process.
Warm, approachable and endlessly dependable, Charli brings calmness, structure and genuine care to everything she does which, in executive search, matters more than people realise.
She’s often the person quietly making sure all the moving parts come together exactly when they should.
Outside of work, Charli is all about her two girls and beloved pug, Gus. She loves her garden and getting stuck into a new project.
